It just had that chemical-vanilla-candle-scented, untouched-by-human-hands, robotish feel to it.<\/p>\n<p>How can you make sure you\u2019re not writing like a robot?<\/p>\n<h3>1. Use a better structure.<\/h3>\n<p>Google is testing AI to write news articles. <em>There goes half of our jobs!<\/em> After all, even a robot can cram all of the W\u2019s into the first paragraph. Even AI can organize the inverted pyramid.<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2019s a better structure \u2014 humans <strong><em>love<\/em><\/strong> it \u2014 and it\u2019s <strong><em>waaaaaazaay <\/em><\/strong>above a robot\u2019s pay grade. Start using that structure, and watch your engagement soar. Wait\u2019ll your boss\/client\/customer sees this!<\/p>\n<h3>2.Write human content.<\/h3>\n<p>AI doesn\u2019t do human interest, because it doesn\u2019t know humans. Nothing ever happens to it, so it doesn\u2019t tell stories.<\/p>\n<p>Shift the types of content you write from \u201cJust the facts, Ma\u2019am\u201d to more human content, and let ChatGPT catch you if it can. (It can\u2019t.)<\/p>\n<h3>3. Make ChatGPT your BFF and research assistant<\/h3>\n<p>ChatGPT is a terrible writer. No prompt can make it as compelling as you \u2014 a brilliant, real, live human person.<\/p>\n<p>But AI can be a great assistant. Send it out to find the details for a juicy-details lead or to fetch some statistics for your data story or to gather some headlines for your compression-of-details paragraph.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,
