More than 150 characters? 280 characters?<\/p>\n<h3>Is shorter always better?<\/h3>\n<p>Shorter captions used to drive more engagements. <a href=\"https:\/\/info.quintly.com\/instagram-study-2019\/view#length\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Posts with 50 characters or less got more interactions<\/a> in a 2019 analysis of\u00a0 5.9 million Instagram posts by Quintly.<\/p>\n<p>But shorter posts worked better for Instagram users who had more followers.
