A single word of the article itself.<\/p>\n<p><em>The New York Times<\/em> app, on the other hand, squeezes a three-line headline, a telling photo, a caption that adds information and four lines of the lead onto the first screen.<\/p>\n<p>So what can you move from the top screen?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bylines<\/strong>. Only the writer and the writer\u2019s mother care who wrote the piece.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Publication dates<\/strong>. \u201cThe story date is not worth the substantial screen real estate it occupies,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nngroup.com\/articles\/optimizing-a-screen-for-mobile-use\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">writes usability expert Jakob Nielsen<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Categories, tags and sharing buttons<\/strong>.
